Back in 1980, Pat Hawker G3VA(SK) spoke about this circuit in his technical topics column for the RSGB Mag. This circuit has surfaced again in the latest issue of SPRAT. I do not have access to the SPRAT article but I do own a copy of the RSGB Technical Topics Scrapbook which comes with a CD of all 50 years of Pat’s column.
Other than that, I do not know all that much about this circuit and I cannot find any other references to it, or the references in the article, though the sprat article does go into its mode of operation. So while I do not know all that much about it, what I do plan to do is to build this circuit on some vero or scrap copper clad board and run it through its paces and see how it performs and then compare that to some known mixers I have here and try and quantify its qualities.
Anyway, i will post more on this once I have done the work and published the results. For now, I am off to LTSpice to simulate it and see what happens.
None of this 2min packet stuff, ramen should be a good and healthy meal. Not that this is a traditional ramen in anyway, its made with chicken stock, from the bones of 4 chickens i broke down into pieces rather than pork, its got chicken breast rather than rolled pork belly, and its got vegetables in it, because how else can you make tasty food taste like sad LOL and some of that sad is kale and spinach. Anyway, it was yummy and filling, just what you need during winter.
Its a labour of love. Slowly but surely extending the garden over time as I propagate up the plants. Added another 30 or 40 plants today. So its been digging holes and letting the wife come back through and plant them all. HAHA.
The above two images show how things will look as the plants grow and mature. Its a lot of lavender, once we have them 3 deep down the entire drive way, we will then go back through and fill in any holes that remain. There is currently a couple hundred plants there and probably another 100 to go to finish it out.
